& Accessories
Welcome to our website. Here you
will be able to find suppliers of all types of kitchen
sink faucets. With a wide variety of choices and manufacturers
that you may not know so well, our site will give you a rough
review of the features of different kitchen sink faucets and
some additional information that may be interesting and useful
to you.
As you
shop for faucets, you'll find everything from traditional
two-handle models that rival the designs of a century ago to
the newest one-handle designs that look like contemporary
sculpture. Faucet prices range start from $60 to as high as
$1,000 or more. Solid brass die-cast parts are a sign of
quality, but they often come with steep price tags. Beware of
faucets with plastic shells or handles. Although appealing in
price, their longevity is questionable.
Avoid
selecting a faucet based on looks alone; durability is the key
to your continued satifaction. Comfort in turning the water on
and off is also a factor given how many times you'll use the
faucet. You'll also need to make sure the faucet set you select
is the proper size and design to fit your sink. Most vanity
sinks come with holes drilled in their rims to accomodate
standard faucets and plumbing.
Three basic
faucet styles are designed to fit predrilled
holes:
Single-handle
faucets: These faucets have one spout and one handle
that controls the flow of both hot and cold
water.
Center-set
faucets: With a spout and handle(s) in one unit, these
faucets may have either single-handle or double-handle
controls. Most are designed for a three-hole basin, with the
outside holes spaced 4 inches from center to center. However
some have a single-post design that requires only one
hole.
Spread-fit
faucets: These faucets have separate spout and
handles. The connection between them is concealed below the
sink deck. They fit holes spaced 4 to 10 inches apart. You have
even more options when they are mounted on a countertop next to
the sink. These faucets are handy for tight installations where
there is not enough room for a full faucet at the back of the
sink basin. They are also ideal for whirlpool tubs because the
handles can be positioned where they are easily accessible from
outside the tub for filling.
Wall
Mount faucets: A fourth faucet type is attached to the
wall instead of the sink or the counter. These faucets are
designed for unusually shaped sinks, such as vintage farm
sinks, antique bowls, or other vessels that have been modified
for use in the bath.
